Miguel E. Urriola Maylin
Miguel is a Principal Partner of our firm since its founding.  He is an accomplished litigator, who specializes in commercial, labor and asset recovery matters.  In 1990 he started as a legal assistant in a local law firm with a concentration on Administrative and Procedural Law.

Upon attaining the degree of “Licenciado en Derecho y Ciencias Políticas” he started working at the Undersecretary General of the Nation’s Attorney General’s Office concentrating on Criminal Law, which experience in such practice increased while working as an Assistant Attorney in the Operations Department of the Special Prosecutor for Drug Related Crimes which included money laundering investigations.  Following that time he has been dedicated mostly to civil law matters.

Miguel has represented local and international clients in commercial and labor disputes in Civil Courts as well as Commercial Courts and intellectual property disputes.  He was a member of the negotiating team of a collective bargaining agreement with the union for one of Panama’s largest companies in the areas of entertainment and gaming.  He is currently the Judicial Receiver in one of the largest commercial bankruptcies in the country.  He has represented locally and internationally renowned companies and banks in litigious matters.
