Raúl E. Díaz Arango
Raul is of counsel to our law firm.  He is a renowned attorney specializing in commercial and insurance law.  In 1988 he started work as a law clerk in a local firm concentrating in Commercial Law with an emphasis in Public Registry. After achieving the degree of “Licenciado en Derecho y Ciencias Políticas” (Law Degree) from the Santa Maria la Antigua University, he was granted a scholarship by the Spanish International Cooperation Agency to study towards a Masters and Ph D. at the Commercial , Labor and Private International Law Department of the University of Valladolid.  Upon culmination of his post graduate studies he joined a local law firm as a partner.  During his tenure at the law firm he represented insurance companies in maritime litigation related to subrogation, as well as in the fields of maritime insurance and bonds.  He also advised companies in several aspects of its ongoing business activities. Currently a partner at an insurance brokerage firm and Vice President of its International Division.  This has allowed him to handle the firm’s correspondent relationships with insurance brokers in the United States, England, Europe and Latin America. From this position he renders assistance to an international client portfolio such as:  banks, ports, hotel chains, laboratories, food franchises, home product manufacturers, auto rental companies, perfume distributors, reforestation companies, among others.
